Trent Loos commentary on beef jerky as healthful treat why can’t USDA understand?

Wall Street Journal reports:
Jim White, a registered dietitian and owner of a Virginia Beach, Va., nutrition and fitness studio, says the calorie count in a one-ounce serving of jerky is a relatively low 50 to 100 calories; fat grams range from zero to single-digits, and protein is in the 7-to-14-gram range. Sodium, though, can be high, in some cases from 300 to 500 mgs, more than the 140 mgs in one ounce of potato chips.

Trent Loos gives commentary on what the truckers now that USDA School Nutrition folks can’t figure out.
